January Activity Calendar 2025

As we step into 2025, we are thrilled to welcome a New Year, a new cohort, and exciting new programs to kick things off! This year promises to bring fresh opportunities, inspiring goals, and continued growth for the incredible youth we serve.

We are excited to welcome a New Year filled with growth, learning, and community. Participants have forged lasting bonds and gained invaluable skills during their time together, and as 2025 is starting, Cornerstone Youth Centre is excited to welcome new cohorts and continue our mission of empowering youth.

Follow us on Facebook to check out the monthly Newsletters, or our Instagram for frequent updates about the kinds of activities and events going on at the Centre to learn more about what we do.

Youth Working With US

The programs at Cornerstone Youth Centre are designed to act as a preventative measure to build youth resiliency, encourage responsibility, and the capacity to make healthy choices once outside of the centre.

Registering for our Mentorship Matters program is simple! Once you've completed the registration form, our team will conduct an in-depth consultation to assess the specific needs of each youth. Following this thorough evaluation, we will contact parents directly to confirm whether their child has been accepted into the program, ensuring that we provide the best possible support for every participant.

Working With Youth

Our programs are based on The 40 developmental Assets, which is a framework created by the Search Institute. The external assets focus on the relationships and opportunities they need in their families, schools, and communities, while the internal assets focus on the social-emotional strengths, values, and commitments that are nurtured within young people. The more assets a youth gains, the less likely they are to engage in risky behaviours, including substance use, gang involvement, school incompletion.
